Ivor (Fred) Polson - tracks 2 & 7
When Fred is not on the high seas he is participating in music in one way or another. An enthusiastic and much sought-after bass player on the islands, he can be seen in various line-ups. He is probably best known as the regular bass player for the Sheila Henderson Band. | Jenny Keldie - track 5 Jenny hails from Burra Isle but now lives in neighbouring Orkney She has been part of the Sheila Henderson Band for many years, playing fiddle and singing harmony vocals in this country and abroad. Jenny is an outstanding singer and musician in her own right, playing fiddle internationally, and leading Shetland's Young Heritage Fiddlers for some time. |

| Rhonda Simpson - track 9 Recently Rhonda has teamed up with Freda Leask, Gregg Arthur, Trevor Smith and Gordon Tulloch of Shoormal for festival events in Shetland. Depending on the occasion, Rhonda has the ability to move with ease from the nostalgic old-time musical influences of her family to solid rock and roll. |
| Dana Watt- track 2 Dana started playing piano at a young age and became more and more interested in the traditional Shetland music as the years passed. She has been playing for the Shetland Heritage Fiddlers for the past 10 years or so which is predominantly traditional accompaniment. She also plays in her brother's dance band 'Leeshinat' which again is generally Scottish dance music. Therefore this recording is a rare thing for her! |
